Celebrity Watch: Emma Watson Hits LA

Emma Watson has recently been seen around town, promoting her newest Harry Potter flick and taking in the city sights. The 17-year-old Brit had her hands printed just a day ago at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

At first glance, Emma Watson might seem like any ordinary English schoolgirl. But anyone who’s been watching the last couple Harry films knows she’s anything but. Watson cut her acting teeth playing Hermione Granger on the big screen, one of Harry’s closest wizard friends. When she’s not on the set, the teenager studies at a local English school near her Oxford home and recently earned A’s on all of her A-levels (the British equivalent of college boards). An accomplishment that would make Hermione proud, no doubt!

Now that’s she’s been in LA doing the publicity for the newest Harry Potter film and shopping along with Maria Menounos, the Watson lass has something of an image to live up to. Could it be she’s trying to give Paris and Lilo a run for their Hollywood money? The honey blonde actress who’s been to almost every formal do in Chanel tries on some new summer looks, showing us a new side of herself.

Mesmerizing Emma
In this recent photograph, the star rocks it in a short-sleeved sequin number and matching black mini. Definitely a far cry from the sorcerers’ gowns and hats! The ensemble makes her look all of her seventeen years and she’s clearly got the attitude for it. Ah, the joys of being a high school student with a salary most of us would die for. The metallic stripes pick up the color of her hair while the skirt completes her look without going OTT. A spell well cast, we must say!

British Invasion
Emster stays true to her roots in this photo, layering a Union Jack tank over a white shirt with neutral skirt. The clothes are right for a summer outing, a concert, or just chilling with buds Daniel and Rupert, who reportedly counsel her on guys. Although not seeing anyone right now, Em told Tatler magazine that she prefers boys who are the athletic type and multilingual. After gracing the covers of Teen Vogue and Tatler, we doubt being single will be a problem for long!

Elementary, my dear Watson
In this third shot of English Em, the teen raises her fashion quotient in something more sophisticated yet casual. EW sports a summer twinset in white, which suits her Cambridge aspirations but also offsets her clean-cut features. The jeans finish off the outfit with informal style and show the still growing EW at her best. We feel sorry for those university lads, because they don’t stand a chance. First class!
