Jill Stuart is sticking by Lindsay Lohan

Fashion brand, Jill Stuart will extend full support to the beleaguered star currently undergoing rehab and run their 2007 fall campaign featuring Lindsay recently shot in Japan.

The Mean Girls star shot for their 2007 fall campaign in Japan that was to be launched in the country this summer.

According to a source, however, the Japanese licensee, who financed the campaign, wanted to call off the deal as soon as the actress checked into rehab, for Japan accounted for a major share in business.

“The Japanese [Jill Stuart] licensee paid for it, and they wanted to pull the plug when she went to rehab. Japan accounts for the lion's share of the business,” the New York daily News quoted the source, as saying.

However, the company’s CEO Ron Curtis maintained that the ad campaign will appear in the US and whole of Asia, and that the company will extend full support to the star.

"The ads are running as planned, and we have the utmost support for Lindsay and her rehabilitation, and she is doing great. They will also appear in all of the major lifestyle fashion magazines for fall in Asia and the U.S,” he said.

But, another insider said that the company decided to end the deal with the young starlet, after a newspaper carried the picture of the actress passing out in her car

"The day Lindsay appeared on the front page of the newspaper crashed out in the front seat of the SUV, the Japanese informed Ron Curtis they no longer wanted to be involved. And they are the ones who financed the campaign." The source said.
