The multi-million dollar island, which will be located on the man-made 'The World' archipelago, will boast fashion themed residential villas, haute couture boutiques and luxury hospitality facilities.
Other services include style concierge for clothing, perfumery, fashion makeovers and a design consultation, allowing residents to create their own living environment with custom made furniture, art and technology.
Top fashion designers from each continent are said to be involved in the development which aims to increase tourism by attracting the world's fashion elite. Residents will even be granted ‘VVIP’ (Very Very Important Person) access to exclusive global events, services and products.
In addition, Isla Moda will become a hub to host fashion shows and product launches. Designers will also be offered their own studios to work in while they're on holiday. The first set of villas, known as the "winter collection" are expected to go on sale in the fourth quarter of this year.
I can just picture the likes of Naomi Campbell and Giorgio Armani playing neighbours in their exclusively designed villas. Meanwhile where do I sign up to be a VVIP? My passport is already trembling with excitement at the prospect...
