Marc Jacobs exposes the latest 'It' bag (and mega tan lines) in nude 'Harper's Bazaar' shoot

You might still be reeling from the visual of a nude Karl Lagerfeld (even if it was just an illustration), but at least you will hopefully be a bit more prepared for the sight of Mr Marc Jacobs casually sprawled on a pink furry throw exposing more than just the newest 'It' bag - check out them tan lines!

The photo spread is set to appear in the January issue of Harper's Bazaar, to coincide with the release of the revisited Stephen Sprouse graffiti designs for Louis Vuitton. You can read more about the limited edition collection over at our accessories sister site The Bag Lady.

Stella McCartney interviews Kate Hudson for In Style magazine, Jan '09 issue

Stella McCartney has swapped roles and donned the interviewer's cap for the January '09 issue of U.S. In Style magazine. And the subject? None other than her close pal, Kate Hudson.

The two sat down at London's posh Locanda Locatelli restaurant, for what has been described as Hudson's "most revealing interview yet". They cover everything from her new movie, Bride Wars, to her passion for jewellery, to life as a single gal.

Stella:You're a hot ticket! You've always been in demand.
Kate: I feel good in relationships. I enjoy them, so I feel my best when I'm in something solid. But it's also the first time I've ever taken a step back and gotten a new perspective. So I've made a conscious decision to try and stay single for as long as possible.
Stella: Yeah, babe I know! What's it been - all of two weeks? Congratulations!
Kate: Exactly. I'm just trying to be an adult now.Stella: So I take it you're just watching lots of soft porn?
Kate: What are you talking about? I go right for the hard stuff!

Lara Stone for French Vogue

We reported on the Stéphanie de Monaco issue of French Vogue recently and now the Gallic team have named their latest muse, Dutch-born model Lara Stone. A regular face in French Vogue she won't be writing or contributing, but there's no doubt she is well loved by the magazine as they told Fashionista: "Have you ever met Lara Stone? If you met her, you would know. She's an amazing person."Looks like my subscription will be worth every euro! if you need me I'll be peering out my letterbox for the next month until the issue lands in my hallway.

Cheryl Cole's Vogue shoot turns sour after clashing with stylist

Cheryl Cole's dreams of a Vogue cover turned into a nightmare, after she reportedly stormed off the shoot following a clash with stylist, Bay Garnett.

As I mentioned last month, the X Factor judge is all set to star on the cover of British Vogue's February issue, but her moment in front of the lens didn't go to plan when she felt ignored by Garnett.

An insider told Heat magazine: "Cheryl arrived really excited about the whole thing, as anyone would be, but things soon turned a bit sour. The main problem on the shoot was Cheryl's chemistry with the stylist Bay Garnett after the pair failed to click."

The source added: "Bay is a super stylist, really well known in the fashion world, so it was a real coup that she was styling Cheryl. Bay had the baby daughter with her and spent a lot of time with her during the shoot, which meant that the assistants had to do most or the styling. Cheryl didn't take too kindly to this and felt ignored."

It is believed that by 3pm, Cheryl was over it and left the shoot.

"The photographer had his shots by then, so it wasn't like Cheryl was being unprofessional by leaving, but she wasn't going to stay somewhere she felt uncomfortable."

The February cover is said to feature the Girls Aloud singer dressed in gold and showing off her trademark smokey-eyed look. Although whether we'll actually get to see the photos now remains uncertain.

Bauer to continue POP but will drop spring '09 issue

With much doubt surrounding the future of POP after Katie Grand announced her defection to Condé Nast, publishers Bauer have reaffirmed their commitment to the magazine. However, without a new editor at the helm, the company has admitted it will drop its spring 2009 issue next year.

"It is inevitable a new editor will bring a new vision to the brand, but we are not prepared - nor under any pressure - to rush out an interim issue for the sake of it," said a Bauer spokeswoman. "We would rather invest time in relaunching in the fall 2009 with a magazine that will create a real difference to the fashion industry."

Meanwhile, Grand's last issue of POP, a 20th anniversary special starring Drew Barrymore (above, right), is about to hit the stands on 18th November.

"Katie and her team have been utterly professional in producing a fantastic 20th anniversary issue, but now we want to move on to appointing a new editor for the next chapter of the POP story," the spokeswoman added.

"POP was, is, and will continue to be, a valuable member of our portfolio and we are really excited about what the future holds for the brand. The new era of POP launches fall 2009."

Katie Grand leaves POP to launch a new fashion title, Love, for Condé Nast. The first issue is due to be launched at the end of February.

A princess in couture: Eugenie on Tatler April '08 cover

All grown up and sporting a new Katie Holmes 'do, Princess Eugenie has marked her first step into adulthood by appearing on the cover of this month's Tatler magazine. The 18-year-old followed older sister Beatrice in having her portrait taken for the magazine, in which she wears a purple silk-duchesse satin gown by Ralph Lauren. Inside the shoot, she is also featured in an array on couture gowns including that Dior dress-of-the-season (above, left) and a silk and metal dress designed by the now defunct Giles Deacon for Daks Luxury line. Click here to see who made the new May cover of Tatler.

Vogue cops backlash over Victoria Beckham cover

Hindsight is a often a wonderful thing, although perhaps not for the staff over at British Vogue right now.

According to the Daily Star, Vogue readers are still reeling over the mag's decision to feature Victoria Beckham on the cover of its April '08 issue.

The style bible has been criticised for choosing the Spice Girl on this month's cover, with readers complaining that it turns the publication into a gossip rag.

"Normally Vogue is all about what's hip and what's not and features a stunning amazon of a woman on the cover who is associated with cutting edge fashion," commented one fashion fan. "Instead we get a modestly talented dancer who likes clothes and who was lucky enough to engineer her way into one of the biggest girl groups in the world."

Ouch!

If that wasn't bad enough, Beckham has also been panned by comedian Joan Rivers, who branded her "arrogant."

I am guessing then that poor Vic doesn't want to hear what some folks are saying about her latest
Marc Jacobs campaign shots, like the one above. Thumb-sucking anyone?

Cameron Diaz flaunts it all for GQ May '08 issue

Cameron Diaz shows off her bodacious bod in the latest issue of GQ magazine. Posing in a sexy one-piece cut-out swimsuit, the actress reveals in an interview with the men's mag that she's happy being single.

"I love my life, I don't have any shame in being happy," she said.

"You spend so many years in darkness with stuff eating away at you - it's okay to be happy," she added.

Although if the latest reports are correct, the 35-year-old may not be single for much longer. It is rumoured that Diaz is currently dating Scottish actor Gerard Butler after the pair were spotted on several dates around Los Angeles.

The May issue of GQ magazine is out now.

Kate Moss Tops Glamour Magazine’s Best-Dressed List

Kate Moss is back at the top of Glamour magazine’s annual best-dressed women list.

“Kate’s back with a vengeance,” Jo Elvin, editor of Glamour, told Reuters. “Her maverick approach to fashion is an inspiration and shows us all how to be a little more daring and experimental.”

The British supermodel bested 2007’s best dressed, Aussie pop star, Kylie Minogue, who took a fashion nose-dive, tumbling all the way down to 19th.

Following Moss in second place, is fellow Brit, Sienna Miller, followed by Scarlett Johansson, Rachel Bilson and Jennifer Aniston, who rounded out the top five coming in third, fourth and fifth places, respectively.

On the worst-dressed side, pop princess, and recent sitcom starlet, Britney Spears took home the not-so-distinguished honors. In a case of fans loving and hating a celeb’s fashion choices, Victoria Beckham was voted ninth worst dressed, but also named tenth best dressed.

Glamour magazine’s top 10 best-dressed:

1 - Kate Moss
2 - Sienna Miller
3 - Scarlett Johansson
4 - Rachel Bilson
5 - Jennifer Aniston
6 - Alexa Chung
7 - Reese Witherspoon
8 - Jessica Alba
9 - Keira Knightley
10 - Victoria Beckham

Eva Herzigova won't pose nude again

In her latest interview with Tatler magazine, Eva Herzigova has got some disappointing news for her males - she won't pose nude ever again.

The former Wonderbra model also admits that she isn't a whizz when it comes to the kitchen. "The last time I cooked was on Christmas Day three years ago," she told the magazine.
Continuing her list of flaws, she confesses that giving advice isn't one of her strong points either. "I'm too pragmatic and everything seems almost mathematical and easy to resolve. I'd prefer to have more of a sense of humour when I give advice."

The May issue of Tatler is out now.

Russian beauty Natalia Vodianova has landed the cover of the May '08 issue of British Vogue.

It's the latest coup for the model who was recently named in the ad line-up for Versace's fall campaign, along with Isabeli Fontana.

It is also the third time that Vodianova has appeared on the May cover of Vogue UK, last year she appeared beside Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell for the May '07 cover. For this latest issue, she was photographed by Mario Testino in her native Moscow.

Sasha Pivovarova on Vogue China and Vogue Australia - which looks better?

Vogue China recently had Mario Sorrenti photograph Sasha Pivovarova for the cover of their March 2008 issue. Now Vogue Australia have made the most of being in the Conde Nast International family and used the image on their May 2008 issue. While there were no drastic changes, I like the Chinese cover better. The "Spring Colours" cover line brings a nice fresh flavour to a spring cover, while pink isn't exactly a colour that is meant to inspire fashionable women in Australia as they go into Autumn.

Which cover do you prefer?

Behind-the-scenes with Madonna on Elle shoot

You have seen her on the cover of Vanity Fair and UK Elle, and now it really does seem like Madonna is on path for world domination. The style icon was photographed by Tom Munro for the May issues of both UK and US Elle, in anticipation of her forthcoming album Hard Candy. I suppose a gal has to make sure that she has both ends covered! Check out the behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot by clicking play on video above.

Madonna dominates cover for Vanity Fair's annual green issue

Madonna has landed the May cover of Vanity Fair which also happens to be the publication's annual green issue. The timing couldn't be more perfect for Madge as she begins the promo circuit for her forthcoming album Hard Candy. And doesn't she look fierce? Her outfit for the mag seems to follow this 'bad ass' image that Madge is also using for her album cover, just at look at those knee-high lace-up boots and black bodysuit. Perhaps she really is preparing for world domination.

Madonna bags another May cover - this time, UK Elle

The promo trail is really hotting up for Madonna, who now has a string of covers under her belt in the lead-up to the release of her new album.

While it doesn't look like she's changed things up too much for the May issue of UK Elle, it's nice to see she's finally kicked off those (admittedly, fierce) thigh-high lace-up boots we've been seeing her wear in every photo shoot of late, and instead add a cute fedora hat to her ensemble.

The just-shy-of-50 singer, whose album Hard Candy is due for release on April 28, tells Elle there are "no short cuts to being Madonna" and she works blimmin' hard to stay in shape.

"It's all about hard work," she says. "There is no easy way. If you want to know how I look like I do, it's diet and exercise and constantly being careful."

Oh, we believe you Madge (especially if the constant stream of photos showing everybody's favourite Material Girl going to and from the gym are any indication).

US magazine round-up: W and Vogue, March '08 issues

It's that time of the month when we check out what's going on state side in the glossy world of magazines. After yesterday's surprising Lindsay Lohan/Marilyn Monroe cover for New York magazine, I was a little scared to see who'd made the covers for US Vogue and W magazines.
However... breathe a sigh of relief folks, for it's a few of our favourite leading ladies, for a change.
Currently doing the publicity rounds for their new film The Other Boleyn Girl, Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman hit the cover for March's issue of W. Shot by Steven Klein, both ladies are wearing Miu Miu, but I'm confused as to why a miniature dog is featured? Did Paris Hilton crash the set or something?

Moving onto March's issue of US Vogue, which stars the delightful Drew Barrymore. Always a welcomed choice, I did have to look closely at the picture, which gives a whole new meaning to the term 'fresh faced' - click image to enlarge.

I don't know about you, but I sense a little (or a lot) of touching up has gone on here... she doesn't quite look herself. Nevertheless, I can't wait for her new film Grey Gardens to hit screens later this year.

Tell us what you think. Do you like/dislike these March covers?

Lindsay Lohan channels Marilyn Monroe in "The Last Sitting" for New York magazine

Hmm... I don't know quite what I feel about this - Lindsay Lohan imitating Marilyn Monroe in her final photo session with famed photographer Bert Stern, known as "The Last Sitting". Six weeks after the shoot, Monroe was found dead of an apparent barbiturate overdose. Forty-six years later, Lohan is posing bombshell-style for the latest issue of
New York magazine, also shot by Stern. “I didn’t have to put much thought into it. I mean, Bert Stern? Doing a Marilyn shoot? When is that ever going to come up? It’s really an honour,” she said.

While it might seem an odd choice, I mean what has Lohan done so far that is even remotely in the same region as what Monroe achieved (besides struggle with addiction?) But there is obvious similarities... both were/are fodder for the tabloids, whose lives dramatically changed from their constant media exposure. Having said that, when seeing the original prints at an exhibition in Paris last year, I never ever could have pictured anyone else in the photos and, I must admit, I still can't.

The new issue of New York magazine is out now.

Emma Watson shows off a new look for In Style magazine

Emma Watson is pictured looking very glamourous in the latest issue of In Style.

We're a big fan of Harry Potter's Hermione at Shiny Towers, so much so we made her Woman of the Week on Dolly Mix. In the shoot Emma goes for a retro candy-coloured look and my, she looks so grown up! In Style have made a short video of the shoot where you can see the stylist picking out clothes for her while she larks about in a prom dress.

Jennifer Connelly shines at the Glamour Magazine Women of the Year Awards

We do love an awards ceremony over at OSOYOU. Celebrities, gorgeous togs and plenty of after party gossip – what’s not to love, eh?

The Glamour Magazine Women of the Year Awards in New York may have missed out on the goss stakes (unless you include Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck refusing to walk the red carpet together to avoid attention – yeah, that worked!) but it certainly had the celebs and fabulous frocks, our favourite being Jennifer Connelly in this pretty turquoise dress.

The strapless prom style frock, which perfectly compliments her raven hair, is worthy of our own Party Dresses Stylefile, a bonus being that it also has pockets! So, not only would you look fabulous in it, you could keep your hands warm and keep some change for the cab fare home in them too - result! Pity we can’t keep a cutie like your husband Paul Bettany in those pockets as well Jennifer. Ah well, a girl can dream.

Luckily you don't have to dream too much to achieve Jennifer's effortless style. A trip to a list of this red carpet outfit over at OSOYOU.com will get you look like the stunning Oscar winner in no time.
