Amy Winehouse’s Fashion Line

Apparently the singer is launching a clothes and make up range so youngsters can look just like her…

Amy Winehouse is set to start her own range of clothing, make up and accessories, according to The Sun newspaper.

We’re guessing leopard print, eyeliner, bee-hive wigs, and fake tats will feature heavily in the collection.

A pal of the Rehab singer told the tabloid: “Amy’s style has been copied by girls around the country and there’s a lot of money to be made. It’s a very distinctive look.”

You can say that again! Wino is reportedly meeting fashion and cosmetic experts later this week to hammer out details of the new venture.

Let's hope Amy remembers to make a third album too.

Why we love Kate Moss..?

If asked “Which model can successfully take you through the ages of fashion without fading?” one would hopefully answer “Kate Moss.”

I mean, as if anyone would ask that question - but when I think about it, she’s the only model who can transform from season-to-season and year-to-year without being left behind and replaced with someone new, i.e. Janice Dickinson.

And Kate Moss is featuring on the cover of Vogue’s coming March issue, making it her 25th Vogue cover.

Eva + Calvin = $$$

Calvin Klein has just announced actress Eva Mendes as the new face for its yet-to-be-named Coty fragrance which will be launched this northern autumn.

It’s reported that her contract will be worth between £1.5 milion and £2.5 million for a three-year campaign. And good on her! She is currently in rehab. The same one as Lindsey. I’m sure when she gets out, the money will be put to good use!

Catherine Walsh, senior vice-president of American Fragrances for Coty Prestige, was reported in Vogue.com as saying: “Her awareness and likability have been on the rise since 2003 - she consistently generates a very positive response. Both men and women find her incredibly attractive, fit and sexy.

And because her awareness is growing worldwide, we are planning this fragrance as a global launch.”

Lucie Boshier: What are you thinking?

Okay Bridget Saunders already wrote an entry about this poster, but I had to as well. It’s too good to pass up!

Lucie Boshier is a Kiwi designer all about showing off tits, not shaving and not brushing your hair, with her motto being “Liberating Fashion”. Oh really? Yea that’s really liberating. Making posters that, instead of promote the brand, bag on everything your brand is not. Damn that’s smart, Lucie!

I will admit I’ve been into her Newmarket store once, and only once. There were cheap beaded hangers with poorly made dresses hanging all the wrong way, Kama Sutra books shoved in the back, and not to mention a shop assistant who looked like she had smoked something chronic while she was out the back.

But back to this poster. It disturbs me. Who the hell is supposed to be boning the girl anyway? Karl Lagerfeld? If so, she really needs to step away from the crack and take a closer look at the minuscule impact she really has on New Zealand’s fashion industry.

Oh, and take note. The picture two blogs down in the Dior Couture entry is a snippet from Lucie Boshier’s ANZFW show last year. Liberating huh?

The style of the jacket and her short cropped hair accentuated her tall neck. For a dramatic effect she matched her attire with red soled bright orange Christian Louboutin high heel pumps.

Rihanna has teamed up with TOTES to create her signature line of wind proof umbrellas that includes four styles, available exclusively at Macy's. The single color umbrellas will sell for $20 and the two tone canopy style is priced at $50.
