Marks & Spencer crowned the UK's most animal friendly retailer

In these environmental and animal-preserving times, being crowned the UK's most animal friendly retailer is surely a string worth adding to your bow. Marks & Spencer has been awarded that title at the RSPCA Good Business Awards.

It is the fourth year in a row that M&S have won the award, which begs the question - what are other major retailers really doing to push its animal friendly policies?

Yorkshire-based retailer, Izzy Lane, took home the gong for best small fashion retailer. They were praised for their commitment to to animal welfare, including launching its own sheep sanctuary.

"Izzy Lane shows how a passion for animals can equal a truly luxurious and cutting edge fashion label, whilst Marks & Spencer continues to prove that sustainability and sales can go hand in hand on the high street," said fashion judge, Wayne Hemingway.

Marks & Spencer's new lingerie range takes a brisk walk through London

It is definitely a way to get heads turning, and the model certainly doesn't seem to mind, but I don't know how keen I'd be on strutting through the streets of London in just my skivvies.

Nevertheless, the marketing gurus at Marks & Spencer thought it was a grand idea to help launch their latest lingerie collections today.

Pretty knickers from the store's Ceriso brand were modelled early this morning by brave model Kristina. Designs including a spot set with pink bows and a striped nautical set were on display at M&S's Marble Arch store.

If you have time on your lunch break today pop down and check them out. I already have my eye on the nautical set, and let's face it M&S knickers really are the best.

Marks & Spencer's 'Padstow Princess' collection has us sold!

I'm in love with Marks & Spencer's 'Padstow Princess' collection. Named after the Cornwall town probably best known for housing Rick Stein's seafood restaurant (oh, and for looking this pretty) the girly range of blue-toned florals, spring macs and broiderie anglaise has a touch of the nautical about it without being over the top in its 'hello, sailor' references, while the pussy bow tunic (not yet available online) reminds me of vintage Laura Ashley. Check out the whole lot here, and start saving!

Take That give us their best Zoolander poses for Marks & Spencer

Not satisfied with simply reviving their singing careers, the lads from Take That have also been put in charge of reviving menswear at Marks & Spencer. It's genius if you think about it... Hire the country's biggest boy band to front your mum's favourite store, it's a sure to be a winner!
Looking rather sharp in the new range of M&S suits (dare I say it, even Gary Barlow is turning my head... who would have thought it?) the boys are doing their best Zoolander 'Blue Steel' impersonations for the campaign which launches this month. What do you make of their modelling debut for M&S?
