Diane Kruger is a National Treasure

And to be more exact: a National Treasure in Chanel.

The never-knowingly-ugly Diane Kruger stepped out in Tokyo for the Japanese premiere of National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets. And as always, she looked impossibly beautiful, yet ever so slightly quirky.

The dress she's wearing is from Chanel Couture's 2006 Fall collection; and those lovely snowflake-style motifs make for a lovely wintery touch, dontcha think? No wonder the lovely lass is beaming. Now if only that security guard fella would stop listening to his Walkman, everything would be perfect. Still, never mind. You keep smiling away, Diane!

It's Diane Kruger vs Debra Messing in Gaultier belted dress

There's nothing I love more than a celebrity fashion face-off and I've got a beauty here in Debra Messing and Diane Kruger. The shades may look different but after going back though the Shiny fashion archives I noticed that both actresses were spotted out wearing identical Jean Paul Gaultier belted purple frocks.

Debra chose to wear hers at the unveiling of Saks Fifth Avenue new shoe department with a chunky black bag while Diane (who was snapped in it first) wore hers to the Cartier International Polo Day, accessorising with a rather tasty looking Joshua Jackson.
