Case in point: The feral, off-the-shoulder frock Alicia Keys dons for a screening of "The Nanny Diaries." Once, it was a majestic creature hunting for prey in the wild, until that fateful day when it had a tragic run-in with a safari tour bus. After an undignified removal by spatula, it was stitched into a beastly and unbecoming dress saddled with hip-widening pockets and a constricting, below-the-knee hemline. But the ultimate humiliation was still to come, with the comely singer inexplicably accessorizing her catty couture with clashing fishnets and orthopedic, Crayola-blue heels, resulting in a dud of a declawed look that should be permanently placed on the endangered list.
